What better than an ocean view when having a meal? Zenzi offers a beach club, restaurant and bar. They have live bands and entertainment in the evening and also show major sports events on their big screens. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Los Aguachiles - $
34th street on the corner of 25th Avenue.
This restaurant is a local favorite and they may not be too happy about me spreading the word! If you like fresh seafood, ceviches, fish/shrimp tacos, tostadas and everything seafood, this is the place for you. Open air & reasonably priced. Also open for dinner.
Bio Natural - $ / $$
10th Ave. between 16th and Constituyentes
Healthy, organic, vegetarian and/or vegan and Gluten Free options. Lots of tasty freshly prepared food. Try the pita with beets, nuts and blue cheese. MMMMM good. Also open for breakfast and dinner.
Café L’orange - $
30th street between 25th and 30th avenues.
This charming cafe offers a menu of the day which consists of the entrée, main meal and dessert for until $10US. The service is great, the staff is welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxed and most of all, the food is tasty. Open for breakfast and lunch, closed on Mondays.
Kaxapa Factory - $
10th Street between 15 and 20th
The recent political history of our southern brethren may be a point of dispute for those passionate about politics, but about this there will be no debate: Kaxapa Factory prepares some utterly delicious Venezuelan food that will leave you with the hunger to more about this beautiful South American nation. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Saladé - Juice & Salad Bar - $
15th and 10th
Fresh build-your-own salads, bagels, paninis, juices, smoothies fruit salads and more await you at this healthy haven just two blocks away from Playa del Carmen's bustling Fifth Avenue. Formerly known as Barra Light, Saladé is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (they open one hour later on Saturdays and Sundays). The food is good, the prices are reasonable and it's a nutritious ying to all that all-inclusive yang you're probably eating at the hotel.
