Villas Akumal is a very well maintained property and the staff answered all our questions. The beach is ok -but the one the next bay over is incredible. So it is worth the short walk. The place attracts mostly families. The only down side - which the management can't control is that for two nights our neighbors were loud and noisy until the early morning hours. Although management was very responsive to our complaint, our neighbors were there to party and didn't really care what other people thought since they were there for two nights. This can happen anywhere.
