In March 96, the prestigious German Magazine 'Bunte' (500 thousand copies weekly) specializing in first class spot light celebrities wrote: ' Rolf Albrecht and Bernd Stockinger, the design team famous for over 25 years, owners the popular 'Sweetheart Boutique' in Schwabing (an elegant neighborhood in Munich - Germany) put their scissors aside to create a new project, the Mexican resort in Playa Del Carmen Mexico, 65 Km south of Cancun.

The project was accomplished by Rolf's sole investment and design, now a reality, Jungla Caribe Hotel is already operating in this wonderful fisherman's village, recently turning into an international tourist getaway of astonishing beauty of land and harmonic contrasts.

Jungla Caribe, has 26 rooms and suites, they also added a few fashionable shops, crafts, gifts and their own restaurant and bar 'the Jaguar', serving delicious international and Italian cuisine. Rolf, the magazine continues, who created dresses for some of the most famous women in Europe, like Maria Sachs, Petra Schiwrmann or Christen Horbigen, accomplished his dream of opening a Caribbean resort.

Famous guest in the opening: One of the first guests in the opening of the hotel, decided to spend her vacation in this precious spot, was the well known German actress Mariane Sagebrech (known for her movie Café Baghdad) as well as Vidal Samson, famous European plastic surgeon, Anja Hauptrenam niece of the famous German writer Gerliard Hauptrenam, the film director Roger Fritz and Margit Friedich, charming heiress of a hotel chain and the German combat star Fritz among many others.

Indeed Rolf could be considered lucky for making his dream come true to reality and live in Paradise with his future secured as the owner of Jungla Caribe, on 5th Avenue, only 50 yards away from the Caribbean Sea, where nature alone seems to endow this incredible International tourist attraction with exuberance of natural beauty.

Playa Del Carmen, used to be an unknown small picturesque fishermen village that in the current decade of the nineties is one of the fastest growing tourist attraction, rich with a splendid sea, bright and clean, free of pollution; white beaches, the king star shining intensely all year round, temperatures oscillating between 25 and 30 degrees (75-90 F.), further more there are the Mayan archeological areas known world wide such as Tulum, Coba, filled with shrines, ruins, lagoons, cenotes, underground rivers, the vegetation is exuberant and the fauna impressive, includes tigers, deer, monkeys, peacocks, lizards, fowl of all kind and more. One of the great attractions is 5th Avenue, the Rose zone of Playa Del Carmen, where vehicles are not allowed, one can stroll the paved walkway all the way down to the beach, through gift shops, restaurants, money exchange booths, and many other services required by the public.
