9. How to get from Cancun to Isla Mujeres
There are several fabulous beach clubs in Cancun where you can relax with a cocktail or party accompanied by live music and DJs.
And, if you’re in Cancun, you’re just a short trip away from the beach clubs of Isla Mujeres with their beautiful beaches and welcoming atmosphere.
Trust me; it’s worth hopping on the ferry for a short while to see firsthand how gorgeous Isla Mujeres is.
You can catch the UltraMar ferry from either Puerto Juarez or the Hotel Zone.
The ferry ride takes around 15 minutes, so you can get to the fabulous beach clubs on Isla Mujeres quickly and easily.
During the trip, you can usually buy beer, soda, water, and snacks on the boat.
These ferries get crowded during busy times, so be prepared.
I always prefer to sit outside on the top deck if the weather allows.
It’s less claustrophobic if the boat is packed and the views are brilliant.
Ferries run daily from 5:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., so you have plenty of time to spend at one of the beach clubs, and you may also want to spend some time exploring.
Check out my blog post for more info about this.
The ferry from Puerto Juarez costs $462 MXN for adults and $352 MXN for children.
If you’d rather catch a ferry from the hotel zone, you’ll pay $512 MXN for adults and $372 MXN for children.
A car ferry to Isla Mujeres also leaves from Punta Sam.
But I wouldn’t recommend taking a rental car to the island because parking can be a nightmare.
Plus, it’s much more fun exploring on foot or renting a golf cart.
