    1. Visit Cozumel or Isla Mujeres<\/h2>\n

    You had your heart set on the beach, we get it!<\/p>\n

    Getting to Cozumel<\/h4>\n

    It’s never been easier to access the island of Cozumel from Playa del Carmen.<\/p>\n

    The ferries\u00a0operate hourly from the pier in downtown Playa just footsteps from 5th Avenue.<\/p>\n

    The crossing takes around 45 minutes.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Adults pay just $10 and the child\u2019s price is $6.<\/p>\n

    Getting to Isla Mujeres<\/h4>\n

    The only way to get to Isla Mujeres is to\u00a0catch the ferry from Cancun.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    You can get to Cancun from Playa easily using either the ADO<\/a> bus service or if you really want to get down with the locals take a Collectivo<\/strong> (pictured below, they are cheaper but not always air-conditioned).<\/p>\n

    The Ultramar ferry dock is located in Puerto Juarez, just a few minutes from downtown Cancun.<\/p>\n

    The boats leave every half hour from\u00a05.00 am until 9.00 pm<\/strong>\u00a0and every hour after that. It takes around\u00a015 minutes and costs 80\u00a0<\/strong>pesos ($4)\u00a0 one way.<\/p>\n
