Shopping in Downtown<\/h2>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know about you but I&#8217;m very partial to some retail, especially on vacation!<\/p>\n<p>I just can&#8217;t help myself.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily for you, there are plenty of shopping options in Cozumel.<\/p>\n<p>Cozumel has a concentrated area for shopping in and around San Miguel&#8217;s z\u00f3calo (Plaza del Sol) and extends for about 8 blocks along the waterfront and for several blocks back into the town.<\/p>\n<p>Take some extra cash and go exploring, who knows what treasures you might find!<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll find everything from <strong>high-end jewelry stores, to lots of local handicrafts stores<\/strong> selling carved wood gifts, paintings, and papier-mache animals!<\/p>\n<p>Armed with lots of sunscreens and a hat take a leisurely stroll through the town.<\/p>\n<p>Some stores can be a little expensive but feel free to try and haggle a good price if you wish.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-17674 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.playadelcarmen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/View-of-Downtown-San-Miguel-Cozumel-Mexico-from-the-boat-dock-1-1.jpg\" alt=\"Shopping in Cozumel\" width=\"760\" height=\"443\" data-id=\"17674\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t be afraid to venture down the side streets to find more one-of-a-kind items.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a great way to avoid what locals call the &#8220;sidewalk shuffle&#8221;. Eat Seafood<\/h2>\n<p>You&#8217;re in a place famed for its vibrant marine life, it&#8217;s only right you sample some delicious seafood while you&#8217;re here.<\/p>\n<p>My advice would be to head for the windward side of the island.<\/p>\n<p>Not only will you witness a different side to Cozumel but you can stop off at <strong>Camaron Dorado<\/strong> for something to eat.<\/p>\n<p>The food here is incredible and once you get your taste you will understand why it is becoming an island favorite.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-17675 size-full\" beaches it&#8217;s no wonder 1000&#8217;s of people are hoping to tick Cozumel from their bucket list in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s one of my favorite Mexican Islands, and time begins to slow down the moment you step off the boat.<\/p>\n<p>There are plenty of celebrated hotels (to suit all budgets), delicious eateries, and things to do in Cozumel.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-17652\" href=\"#top\">Back to top<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"cozumel\">Getting to Cozumel<\/h2>\n<p>From Playa del Carmen, it&#8217;s always been easy to get to Cozumel, as the<strong> ferry pier is located just a few meters from the southerly end of 5th Avenue.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can&#8217;t miss it!<\/p>\n<p>However, recent developments in transport services linking Tulum and Cancun have made it easier than ever<strong> regardless of where you choose to stay.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in connecting services from Tulum \/ Cancun read all about <a
