Beach at Secrets Aura Cozumel<\/h2>\n<p>For me, the Secrets Aura beach is hands down one of the most attractive aspects of this adults-only, all-inclusive hotel.<\/p>\n<p>The water in front of the hotel is like a tranquil mirror, reflecting the mesmerizing array of blue hues that make the Caribbean Sea so breathtaking.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.playadelcarmen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Secrets_Aura_Cozumel2.png\" alt=\"Secrets Aura\" width=\"760\" height=\"546\" data-id=\"21150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>An approximately 20 ft. stretch of fine white sand runs the length of the hotel, which is <strong>spread out amidst a tropical garden<\/strong> in a sort of u-shape in front of the beach.<\/p>\n<p>Directly <strong>in front of the hotel lies a private pier<\/strong>, which guests can use to jump into the water, set off on aquatic excursions such as snorkeling or diving, or even enjoy a nice romantic dinner for two.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21154\" src=\"https:\/\/www.playadelcarmen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Secrets_Aura_Cozumel6.png\" alt=\"Secrets Aura Pool\" width=\"760\" height=\"486\" data-id=\"21154\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For those who get tired of the <strong>variety of loungers and hammocks<\/strong> spread out in front of the sea, there&#8217;s also the opportunity to join in a game of beach volleyball.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><b><a href=\"#top\">Back to top<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"food\">5. The food at Secrets Aura Cozumel<\/h2>\n<p>Secrets Aura Cozumel offers guests the options to choose between four \u00e0 la carte restaurants, one international buffet, a<strong> 24-hour coffee and pastry shop<\/strong>, and round-the-clock room service.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"size-thumb_799x519 wp-image-12086 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.playadelcarmen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/secrets-aura-cozumel-22-of-30-799x575.jpg\" alt=\"secrets-aura-cozumel (22 of 30)\" width=\"799\" height=\"575\" data-id=\"12086\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If I think about what&#8217;s important at an all-inclusive hotel in terms of their cuisine, my thoughts immediately go to quality and variety.<\/p>\n<p>I think Secrets Aura does very well in both aspects.<\/p>\n<p>I ate at Windows, which is an \u00e0 la carte restaurant, Oceana, which is more seafood oriented, and the Market Caf\u00e9 buffet.<\/p>\n<p>They all get good reviews, though as a foodie I personally would stay at a place that is not all-inclusive in order to explore the local restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>On a final note, guests at Secrets Aura also have <strong>unlimited access to the neighboring sister property<\/strong>, Sunscape Sabor Cozumel. The Unlimited-Luxury Package<\/h2>\n<p>For an additional price and added luxury, guests can choose the Preferred Club upgrade.<\/p>\n<p>Among the included amenities are limitless gourmet dining, exclusive access to the Preferred Club installations, and premium drinks at three bars and lounges throughout the resort.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21158\" src=\"https:\/\/www.playadelcarmen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Secrets_Aura_Cozumel10.png\" alt=\"Premium Secrets Aura\" width=\"760\" height=\"487\" data-id=\"21158\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As not one to indulge in the all-inclusive experiences I don&#8217;t have much of a benchmark to judge how it compares with other similar hotels.<\/p>\n<p>How much something like that is needed I guess depends on your expectations.<\/p>\n<p>Walking through the hotel and seeing the people, there was no way to distinguish who was who and everyone seemed happy.<\/p>\n<p>So there&#8217;s that.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21157\" src=\"https:\/\/www.playadelcarmen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Secrets_Aura_Cozumel9.png\" alt=\"Premium Secrets Aura\" width=\"760\" height=\"459\" data-id=\"21157\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><b><a href=\"#top\">Back to top<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"activities\">7. Activities &amp; Nightlife<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to the food, drinks, and wonderful installations, Secrets Aura Cozumel also has <strong>a gym<\/strong>, two<strong> full-size tennis courts and even an archery range<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Because the water is so calm and the reef is not too far from shore, there are also great water activities available such as <strong>snorkeling and kayaking<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As for nightlife, there is a<strong> sky lounge on the roof overlooking the Caribbean Sea<\/strong> and a nightly disco for those wanting to show off their boogie.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21148\" src=\"https:\/\/www.playadelcarmen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Secrets_Aura_Cozumel0.png\" alt=\"Nightlife \" width=\"760\" height=\"461\" data-id=\"21148\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><b><a href=\"#top\">Back to top<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"spa\">8. Spa<\/h2>\n<p>In case you were wondering, let me rain on your parade.<\/p>\n<p>Spa services are not included in the Unlimited-Luxury package.<\/p>\n<p>However, they do have a hydrotherapy circuit which is included as an additional perk for Preferred Club members.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21153\" src=\"https:\/\/www.playadelcarmen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Secrets_Aura_Cozumel5.png\" alt=\"Secrets Aura Spa\" width=\"760\" height=\"547\" data-id=\"21153\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I admit I sacrificed myself here for the good of my readers and tried out the h<strong>ydrotherapy circuit and a follow-up massage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who have never experienced a hydrotherapy circuit, it&#8217;s an experience that lasts about 40-minutes taking you on an aquatic circuit which vacillates between hot and cold.<\/p>\n<p>From walking on stones to powerful massage spouts, a sauna, vapor room and some of the coldest water you&#8217;ve likely ever experienced, it is a good way to start off your therapeutic getaway in the Caribbean.<\/p>\n<p>As for my massage, well, I don&#8217;t really know any more appropriate word than fantastic.<\/p>\n<p>As someone who sits around on the computer way more than is humanly healthy, the knots in my back are like the surface of Mars.<\/p>\n<p>My talented masseuse did a deep-tissue work that, while leaving me a little sore afterward, worked wonders on my desk chair-inflicted back.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><b><a href=\"#top\">Back to top<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"weddings\">9.Weddings, Honeymoons &amp; Anniversaries<\/h2>\n<p>If I were still Catholic this would be the part where I make my confession.<\/p>\n<p>Forgive me, readers, for I have sinned.<\/p>\n<p>But no.<\/p>\n<p>See, while I neither got married nor celebrated a honeymoon or anniversary at Secrets Aura Cozumel, I did realize that this is one great hotel to do so.<\/p>\n<p>On the one hand, it&#8217;s enough to read everything I just mentioned.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-21163\" src=\"https:\/\/www.playadelcarmen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Weddings-1.png\" alt=\"Weddings Secrets Aura\" width=\"760\" height=\"476\" data-id=\"21163\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But I think this resort is great for such occasions because of its <strong>awesome layout and semi-private beach<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, even though it&#8217;s an adults-only hotel, which could be a dealbreaker for a wedding if you had kids, with the neighboring and more economical family-friendly Sunscape Sabor right next door, the entire wedding party can still be together while leaving the adults free from those embarrassing temper-tantrums.<\/p>\n<p>The spacious theater, which is located on the side of Sunscape Sabor Cozumel, can accommodate up to 400 people.<\/p>\n<p>Interested in an adults-only wedding? Final Thoughts on Secrets Aura Cozumel<\/h2>\n<p>I&#8217;m easy.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve never been one to make much of a fuss about the little things.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe you noticed that I didn&#8217;t even mention the service.
