he explains.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;After looking for the ideal city to open our first store, we chose Playa del Carmen for its positioning not just in Mexico but worldwide.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>The History of Amorino: Gelato Goes Gourmet<\/h2>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11140\" src=\"https:\/\/www.playadelcarmen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/amorino-silvi-5-of-25.jpg\" alt=\"Waffle covered in gelato at Aromino in Playa del Carmen\" width=\"760\" height=\"506\" data-id=\"11140\" \/><\/p>\n<p>15 years ago, two Italians living in France came to a realization that would change their lives.<\/p>\n<p>Cristiano Sereni and Paolo Benassi, who had known each other since childhood, couldn&#8217;t find quality gelato like the kind you could get back home.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than sit around and complain, in 2002 they did something about it.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-11144\" src=\"https:\/\/www.playadelcarmen.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/amorino-silvi-17-of-25.jpg\" alt=\"Pistacchio gelato in Playa del Carmen\" width=\"760\" height=\"570\" data-id=\"11144\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And so, on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%C3%8Ele_Saint-Louis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ile St. Louis<\/a><\/strong> in the heart of Paris, Amorino was born.<\/p>\n<p>Their passion and dedication proved to be a major success.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Amorino began an international expansion which has already witnessed the opening of Amorino stores in Europe, Asia, the United States, and now, Playa del Carmen, Mexico.<\/p>\n<h2>Gelato al Naturale in Playa del Carmen<\/h2>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/kpk4iX7jZvc?rel=0\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Amorino is much more than a gelato store.<\/p>\n<p>And now it&#8217;s the latest addition to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.playadelcarmen.com\/blog\/food-drink\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Playa del Carmen culinary scene<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to founder Paolo Benassi, Amorino&#8217;s objective is, &#8220;to make the highest quality gelato as naturally as possible with no artificial colors or flavorings.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In fact, there is a rigorous process involved in the selection of the ingredients used in each flavor of gelato and sorbet.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The most important aspect of our products is the ingredients that go in them,&#8221;
