What is Xcaret?
Xcaret has something for everyone. It’s an adventure filled “theme park” but you won’t find Mickey Mouse there.

Xcaret is a park the size of 40 football fields that incorporates all the aspects that make Mexico what it is: the nature, the culture, the beauty and the wildlife. And, the best part is, you don’t follow a tour guide. You choose what interests you most, follow your own schedule and set your own pace.
What you can expect to see.
The local flora and fauna will be revealed in the aquariums, butterfly sanctuary, orchid garden and the various animals to be seen throughout the site. Giant sea turtles, sting rays, macaws, monkeys, flamingos, manatees and dolphins are just a few of the species you will have the opportunity to see.
Immerse yourself in the Mayan culture by visiting the replica cemetery and the Mayan village. You will be awed by the Mayan ceremonies and shows you will have the chance to see throughout your day. Discover the archaeological sites, the chapel, the wine cellar and more.
The underground rivers are not to be missed! Float down the rivers where the stalactites and stalagmites are concealed. The crystal, clear, fresh waters were believed by the Mayan to renew youth. Where the fresh water and sea water meets, multicolored fish will flock.
The evening show will astonish you with live music, traditional dances, a Mayan ball game and much more. Words cannot describe just how impressive Xcaret is.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
TRANSPORT: If you are in Cancun, book with transport. If you are in the Riviera Maya or Playa del Carmen, you can book with transport for ease, but you may save money by booking without transport and taking a taxi. Ask at your hotel the cost of the taxi to see what is best for you. If you are unsure, contact us, we can help!
HINTS AND TIPS: bring/wear biodegradable sunscreen and bug spray. Bring a 25$US refundable deposit if getting lockers and equipment. Wear comfortable walking shoes and have a hearty breakfast before starting the day. You can also by a 2 day pass, more time for more fun!
KIDS: Children 0-4 are free, with ID. Child price applies between age 5 and age 11. If your child measures more than 55′ but is under 12 years, please bring ID to qualify for child price. They do have strollers available for rent on site as there is a lot of walking involved.
WHEELCHAIR: The paths on site are fairly wheelchair friendly although disabled guests will find it difficult/impossible to access the underground rivers if they have no mobility. The park claims that 50% of the services are available to guests using wheelchairs. Wheelchairs are also available for rent.
