It is strongly suggested that you rent a car at the airport in Cancun or Playa Del Carmen. Tulum is about 130 Km (75 miles) south of Cancun in the direction of Chetumal, Road 307. One Km after Tulum Ruins, take the road towards Punta Allen (indicated by a road sign) and after approximately 4 Km you reach Piedra Escondida Taxi / suburban can be hired at the airport for approximately USD 80 per trip / car load. Piedra Escondida can also be reached by bus.
