We had a great time on our trip. It was an excellent experience.
Location and rooms and staff were great. However, music played loudly till 4:30 AM. I think it was from The Blue Parrot Bar that is located about 2 buildings down from the hotel.
The little things need to be addressed: Tiny ants in the kitchen, beaches had cigarette butts, bottle caps and glass, noisy construction limited the relaxation.
The good things need to be looked at as well: great location, right time of the year, free purified water in the room, spacious rooms.
Last note, some sort of continental breakfast (sweets, fresh fruits, and juice) would be nice for the price.
Thank you very much for recommending Hotel Playa Palms. We had a little problem with our toilet. It would not flush. After 3 days we were moved to another room, because they couldn't fix the problem.
We are sending some friends to the Hotel in Agust. We are very pleased.
Thank you.
We had a wonderful time! It was a small and quaint hotel which had a beautiful beach. It was a perfect location, located right next to all the entertainment Playa has to offer as well as looking right at the beautiful water. I recommend this to anyone; I feel it would be perfect for a honeymoon.
We were most pleased with our stay at Playa Palms. The staff were very helpful and their English was very good. We brought a rental car, which is not a common thing apparently, but they were most helpful in making sure we had a place to park. We will likely not bring a car there next time. We intentionally avoided the pervasive 'all-inclusives' because if you intend to isolate yourself from the native Mexicans you might as well go to Florida for vacation. We loved Mexico and the people and I expect we will be going back there on vacation for many years to come. These are our southern neighbors and it is not right to hide from them in a fancy self-contained resort.
