ZAMAS is a small, beachfront resort on the Mexican Caribbean, about 5 kilometers south of the Tulum ruins., and 1 1/2 hours south of Cancun airport. Our bungalows are architecturally designed to reflect traditional Maya style, built with thatch roofs, hard woods, stucco and colorful tiles. Zammá, the original name for Tulum, means new beginnings, as in sunrise or tomorrow. It is the Mayan Word from which ZAMAS derives its name. Situated south of the Tulum Archeological site in the Mayan Riviera, ZAMAS' thatch roof bungalows blend beautifully with the elements of sea and sand.
