Designed around a network of crystal clear waterways, Fairmont Mayakoba encompasses 45 acres within a master-planned luxury community that includes an 18-hole Greg Norman golf course. Fairmont Mayakoba offers 40,000 square feet of meeting space (27,000 square feet indoor and 13,000 square feet outdoor) and 397 rooms and suites. Approximately twenty per cent of the guestrooms are located in a more traditional hotel setting interconnected low-rise buildings (3-4 storeys in height). Golf
Managed by Fairmont, the 18-hole, par 72 El Camaleòn is Greg Norman's first Mexican course design. Water comes into play throughout this championship course with two holes designed around captivating seaside features. The clubhouse includes a pro shop, lockers, bag storage, restaurant and bar.

Spa
A 16,000 square foot Willow Stream spa features 20 treatment rooms including a unique couple's suite in the treetops, plus two mineral pools and steam rooms. A carefully crafted menu of services includes distinctive treatments, some of which incorporate indigenous ingredients and ancient native traditions. A full-service health club and beauty salon are also available.

Playa del Carmen Beach
The beach in Playa del Carmen is a good place to meet people, especially around the Blue Parrot Hotel or Captain Tutix nightclub.

If the waves are high do not go out unless you are a strong swimmer because the undertow can surprise you. This advice seems like common sense, but the many visitors had to be rescued. The Beach at the resort is much safer.

Zoo
Xcaret is an eco-park for all ages. You can spend the entire day (and evening) there, snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming with the dolphins, watching performances and Mayan ballgames, visiting the zoo, aquarium, butterfly pavilion, and more.

Jungle Tour
Combining two of the MANY exciting activities the Resort offers, our Jungle tour is sure to keep you smiling long after the ride is over.

You and a friend will navigate your Aquaray (wave-runner-for-two) on a breathtaking voyage across the Nichupte Lagoon where you will find yourself in a winding maze of mangroves surrounded by the calls of exotic birds. On the way out of the mangroves, you start to notice the subtle transition from the emerald green of the lagoon to the turquoise shades of the Caribbean.
