I had a service issue that some of the rooms at this property are not yet updated. The old rooms are very poor. Thankfully the staff knew this and worked to trade us to a much better room. I would go back but would only recommend to friends that like basic styled accommodations. This hotel is not for everyone.. though I really enjoyed the beach location of this property and the onsite restaurant is very good. Staff was very nice as well.

We were told before we came that there was nightly entertainment. Once we changed rooms into the garden area it wasn't guite as loud.

A wonderful property on the beach, excellent food and service. Great location near 5th Street. Music playing, and bands giving a great reggae vibe. Playa del Carmen was very busy, maybe due to time of year. Sometimes beach was a little cramped. Would love to go back with some friends. A nice eclectic mix of people, Europeans and Americans. Perfect for what we wanted, could have been a little quieter at night though as we have young kids.

after booking i was told 20% would be charged to my card and the remained charged at fusion world links charged the remaining amount about 2 wks. before we left which caused a problem while we were there. worldlinks promised a 32.00 dollar reimbersment from fusion which we were not able to retrieve.

The Fusion Hotel is small and has a real Mexican charm and casualness with it's ocean view patio for breakfast, meals and drinks and steps right down onto the beach with lounge chairs for the day and intimate little tables and candles at night for drinks/dinner. It is the kind of place that unfortunately is being squeezed out by the bigger impersonal fancier places. Our garden room was simple and adequate with lush greenery and colorful flowers over arches and hanging hammock chairs. Noisy one night but the rest were fine, and only one block to all the 5 th Avenue activity and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised!
